Women in Hire Development Program

In a male dominated industry we are extremely proud of our Women in Hire Development Program. The first of its kind in our industry, the Women in Hire Development Program launched at our national convention in 2018, the program is designed to give women opportunities to develop their leadership skills, build confidence and pursue a successful career within our industry.

The guiding principles of the Women in Hire Development Program are to align, connect and grow.

A major part of the program is to connect with others and form meaningful industry relationships and

The program is designed to remove roadblocks and assist participants to grow both personally and professionally through this process.

Program Launch

The online program launch will outline the program, the expectations, and provide an opportunity to meet the HRIA National Office Staff, Program facilitators from Strategic Alignment Training as well as the other mentors and mentees on the program. It is compulsory for all mentees and all mentors are invited.

Conversation 1: Be Ready

In Module 1, we explore you. Your strengths, your behavioural style, your emotional agility, your passions, and your peeves. In preparation for Module 1, you will complete the Everything DiSC® Profile.

Conversation 2: Be Driven

In Module 2, It’s time to identify those habits that may be holding you back. We set goals to break those habits, establish new habits practiced through your established routines.

Conversation 3: Be Curious

In Module 3, we broaden our view and perspective, by looking at options to enhance our career, find our ‘Why’, build our confidence and grow our network.

Conversation 4: Be Daring

In Module 4 we focus on assembling the courage to act. By this stage we know what we need to do to achieve our goals, and those actions may call for us to be daring and vulnerable.

Conversation 5: Beyond

In Module 5, the focus is role modelling. With you becoming a confident advocate for other women within the HRIA, by sharing your learnings, being a positive role model, by inspiring, and empowering others.

Networking for Success

Held at HIRE26 in Sydney, May 2026

Networking is an essential tool for business development and career advancement. This session will focus on building, developing and maintaining professional, profitable business relationships through networking.

HIRE27

We encourage all Mentees (and Mentors!) to attend HIRE27 and all workshops relating to your business and areas of curiosity.

HIRE26 will be held 9-10 June at Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre. Further details will be provided.
